Half Marathon for Joslin Diabetes Center
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I have decided to run my first Half Marathon in Manchester-by-the-Sea on September 23, 2018 for Joslin Diabetes Center. In November 2014, my uncle Bill Saint passed away from diabetes-related complications. At the time of his passing, I was serving in the Peace Corps and was unable to travel home to attend his funeral. I want to fundraise for Joslin in memory of my uncle Bill, and in honor of my dad, who also continues to fight against diabetes. My dad's motivation this past year to make major lifestyle changes with exercising and diet has inspired me to lace up my running shoes once again and educate myself further on diabetes prevention. Please consider donating to this great cause; I have requested that donations be put towards Type II diabetes treatment and research.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Contributions will enable Joslin to fulfill its mission to improve the lives of people living with diabetes and it's complications through innovative care, education, and cutting-edge research that will lead to the prevention and cure of the disease.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
